###Whanarua Bay Cottages###
We are located along the Eastland part of the spectacular Pacific Coast Highway (SH35) and 55 minutes drive from Opotiki. We have 2 private cottages available in this beautiful and secluded bay. Each cottage has 2 bedrooms and is fully self-contained. Both cottages have kitchen and laundry facilities, heating, outdoor furniture and BBQ, and will sleep up to 5 people. Linen is supplied.
###The Cottage###
The cottage is a very cosy two bedroom coastal bach located on a large sunny section surrounded with fruit trees and flower gardens. The place is fenced and there is a small gully on one side that we have planted in natives. At the rear of the section there is a cleaning station equipped with running water for the fishermen in the family. This cottage will sleep up to five people comfortably and all beds are made up with fresh linen. The kitchen is fully equipment except it has not got a oven. From the lounge the french doors lead out onto deck, where you can sit back and relax in this beautiful bay. We have kayaks for those who want to go for a paddle and the walk down to bay takes about five to ten minutes.
###The Tree House###
The tree house as the name suggests is nestled amongst large native tree. With large grounds there¿s plenty of room for the boat or for the kids to play around. Elevated above the ground there are views of the surrounding hills and the sea. Inside the two large bedrooms will sleep up to about six people quite comfortably. The beds will be made up with fresh linen when you arrive. The kitchen and lounge are open plan and the range slider leads out onto the deck. This place has everything you need all you have to bring is your food, clothes and of course your beach towel. Only minutes from the bay this cottage is a great base for your summer holidays.

Take a stroll through lush native forest to a stunning waterfall, or for the more energetic there is a track up Karirangi Point to a lookout that offers superb views of the bay. Go for a swim or do some rock fishing. You can even paddle out and explore the bay on one of our kayaks. Those who just want to relax can enjoy a quiet picnic on one of the 3 beaches or visit the macadamia orchard for a coffee in the café.
Transportation - Whanarua Bay Cottages Te Kaha
How to find us From Opotiki (88Km) - Take SH35 for about 55 minutes. Once you see the green Whanarua Bay sign on your left hand side, carry on down the road for another 100 metres, going pass the Macadamia Orchard on the right. Take the next road on your right, which goes up hill for about 20m. Turn left at the T juction and the Tree House is at 8488 and the Cottage is at 8492. From Gisborne (246Km) - Take SH35 for about 2hrs 45mins. Once you reach Whanarua bay, look out for our Blue & White Whanarua Bay Cottages sign along the main straight. The cottages are access through a small lane at the rear of the properties. Once you see our sign continue driving on for another 50m. Take the next road on your left, which goes up hill for about 20m. Turn left at the T juction and the Tree House is at 8488 and the Cottage is at 8492.
